School Day

General Traffic Expectations

• Avoid using your cell phone while operating your vehicle
• Use your turn signals to indicate to other drivers where you intend to go.
• Drivers are also MANDATED not to drive beyond the speed limit (15 MPH) while driving on campus.
• Pay attention to the security officers who are directing you and follow their directions.

Student Drop-off

Drop-off is in two locations:

Enter from Manor Ave, make a left and drive to the flagpole.  Please prevent congestion at the entrance by pulling forward to the Main Entrance.  Exit through the staff parking lot back onto Manor Avenue. 

2. DMS parent drop off
**If you have a student to drop at all three buildings locations, drop at STEM first and then DMS last as West students can walk to the school from that drop off location. You will exit campus from DMS.

• Have your student walk in the crosswalk to ensure his/her safety. 

• Exit campus by continuing out to the Rock Raymond exit.

• Enter from Rock Raymond Road, pull in to the left of DMS Parking lot, signal right to turn in front of DMS to drop off your student.
• Follow the directions of the security personnel directing traffic.

Student Pick-up

Buses will be stacked along the curb in all roadways on campus to allow for safely loading students at the end of the day.  Car traffic will be greatly reduced until the buses have left the campus at 3:00 pm.  If parents need to pick their children up at the end of the school day, please plan to wait until the buses have left campus. 

Entering and Exiting DW campus:

• In the morning, cars may enter the DW campus
  • from Manor Avenue only
• In the morning, cars may exit
  • from DW campus through the front staff parking lot back onto Manor Avenue
  • from DMS campus to Rock Raymond
  • from STEM to Manor Avenue
• In the afternoon, cars may enter the DW campus
  • from Rock Raymond
  • from Manor Avenue
• In the afternoon, cars may exit
  • onto Rock Raymond – if you enter from Rock Raymond, you must exit from Rock Raymond
  • onto Manor Avenue
